sweet Cate

 Dear sweet Cate,

If there is a prize in heaven for the longest prayer, you will get it for sure.
"Papa, Nana, Livey, Ammer, Yucky, Sy, Mommy, Daddy, Papa, Nana, Mommy say no, No No No, Brush teeth, Papa, Nana. (Repeat, repeat.)  Amen."

Thank you for putting the child safety lock back on the cabinet after you were done inside.
You're so responsible!

After I brought Simon home from the hospital, you were ready to potty train.
And ready to learn piano.  Here's the result.
Hot cross buns has a new meaning.

I hear this quiet little voice say, "Sy, don't cry."

you can't be a papa

 Dear Cate,

Today you mixed puzzles together, ripped up puzzle pieces, and did puzzles.  We compared our owies, and yours was bigger.  You learned teeth are for chewing food, not for biting mom.

Favorite words:  Mine.  No.

Olivia's favorite question:  "What do you want to be when you grow up, Cate?"
Cate's answer:  "Papa."
Olivia tells you that you can't be papa.
Cate's new answer:  "Nana."

Celebrating Marti Gras, a.k.a. Fat Tuesday, at the library.
We continued the "Fat" theme by going to McDonalds.

Pedicures with dad

We were the only ones dressed up at the library for Halloween.  Seems there should have been some sort of mom-of-the-year award for this?

Potty training.
Cute, but unsuccessful.

You came on the plane with me to Colorado to say goodbye to Great Grandma Patty.  What a good little traveler you were, and you got to see cousins Ava and Hudson.
Olivia does not know about this, so don't tell her;)

Great Grandma Junice

Before each meal, you remind us to pray for papa. And nana's foot.

At Christmas, you didn't have many expectations. It was like a normal day to you...
until Olivia woke up and showed you how to "do" Christmas.

You shared a fun b-day party with your cousin Landon...

You look like you're either looking for a horse to ride, or your diaper is full.
Probably both.
